Woodall Mountain, Mississippi

Permission to use the gravel road 

to the summit is not required.

The USGS benchmark is located 25 yards

 east of the fire tower (not shown here).

Prior to 1878, tradition says that Woodall Mountain was known as Yow Hill. In 1887 the summit was renamed, after Tishomingo County Sheriff, Zephaniah H. Woodall.

Woodall Mountain is located approximately 3 miles SW of Luka.
